Pina graduated from McGill University in Canada with a Bachelors in Physical Therapy, and then went on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University. Over the past 18 years, Pina has worked primarily in out-patient orthopedic settings treating both acute and chronic conditions due to repetitive strain and/or athletic injuries. She has significant experience and loves working with post-operative patients as well, helping them return to their previous level of activity. Pina’s annual continuing education courses allow her treatment approach to remain current and evidence-based to provide patients with the most effective treatment. Pina believes in empowering her patients to improve their own physical fitness through education on posture, bodymechanics and exercise. Pina has advanced manual therapy skills, is Astym certified and uses a postural restoration approach to help improve symmetry and muscle imbalances. Pina loves to hike and paddle board and is loving the thrill that learning to ski has brought her the past 2 years.
